It has been a very interesting start to the 200-12 campaign to say the least. The start of the Premiership has not been kind to the lads, and not the way to start the 125th Anniversary season.

Newcastle v Arsenal (0-0)
Well the start to the season saw no goals,no loss of a 4-nil lead, but just alot of fireworks. Joey Barton of twitter fame got in under the skin of new signing Gervinho, this lead to one of the worst acting jobs (Barton) ever. This resulted in a red card to Gervinho, and a later bit of retaliation by Alex Song . So what came out of the match? 3 game suspensions to both Gervinho and Song

Arsenal v Liverpool (0-2)
Liverpool gets a away win @ Arsenal for the first time in 15 matches. Another match without a goal, also another match with a sending off. Youngster Emmanuel Frimpong received a yellow card for a very childish undisciplined play involving the handling/handing of the ball on a Liverpool throw in. He was then dismissed after a questionable tackle call in the 72 minute. Two games 2 losses, 0 goals and 2 red cards.

Manchester Utd v Arsenal (8-2)
Yes thats right 8 to 2, could have been closer had RVP not missed a penalty in the first have. This was a monumental game for Arsenal as it made the board realize that they needed to buy some players, and the team was not going to achieve fuck all if they kept going in this direction.

Champions League Play-offs
Arsenal v Udinese (1-0)
This was a game that featured a quick opening goal by Theo Walcott , and many outstanding saves by Wojciech Szczeny. The play of the match had to be Szczney's one handed lunge to stop a Udinese free kick that was destined for the top corner.

Udinese v Arsenal (1-2)
Well the only good news of the start to the season was the away win and qualification into the Cahampions League. The gunners played a great away game vs Udinese and were able to come away with the win and the spot in the round of 32. Theo Walcott and RVP were the scoresers for the Gunners and again another solid effort by Szczeny in goal.

Chanpions league draw has us in a very interesting, competitive, and winnable group featuring french side Marseille, German side Borussia Dortmund and Greek powerhouse Olympiacos.
